Cream Drive

Drive across a Belgian town to run an absurd errand: fetch Mammy, bring a pot of butter to Nénenne, go and eat chips… and stop in front of the address without a single mistake. One speeding flash, one missed right-of-way, one forgotten indicator: back to the start.

The car follows the road by itself. You choose the way at each crossing, accelerate, brake and indicate. Everything else is about reading the road:

Priority to the right, STOP signs, give way, priority roads, traffic lights, roundabouts (indicate to leave!), zebra crossings, level crossings with trains.

Speed limits of 30, 50 and 70. 1 km/h too many and you are flashed, with a (simplified) Belgian fine.

Barakis: souped-up cars with blaring house music that overtake and brake right in front of you, or blast through a STOP. Slow down and keep your distance. The horn is for danger only.

Fire engines and ambulances with sirens: let them through, even on green.

Rain and snow, hills and tunnels, ducks, cows and turtles out of the sewers…

…and now and then, four long-haired lads crossing a zebra in single file, Saint Nicholas on his donkey, the Manneken Pis on a roundabout, or a kangaroo on the way to Wavre.

Four levels, from Easy (a little tolerance, warnings) to Extreme (no automatic braking). 82 missions in made-up towns with very Belgian names.

Works in the browser on PC and on phones, and can be installed as an app (it then plays offline).

Description (français)

Traversez une ville belge pour une mission absurde : aller chercher Mammy, porter un pot de beurre à Nénenne, aller manger des frites… et arrêtez-vous devant l'adresse sans la moindre faute. Un flash, une priorité ratée, un clignotant oublié : retour au départ.

La voiture suit la route toute seule. Vous choisissez la direction à chaque carrefour, vous accélérez, freinez et mettez le clignotant. Le reste, c'est lire la route :

• Priorité de droite, STOP, cédez-le-passage, routes prioritaires, feux, ronds-points (clignotant pour sortir !), passages piétons, passages à niveau avec trains.
• Limites de vitesse 30, 50 et 70. Un km/h de trop et c'est le flash, avec une amende (simplifiée) à la belge.
• Barakis : voitures tunées à la musique house qui vous doublent et pilent devant vous, ou grillent leur STOP. Levez le pied, gardez vos distances. Le klaxon, c'est seulement face au danger.
• Pompiers et ambulances en sirène : laissez-les passer, même au vert.
• Pluie et neige, collines et tunnels, canards, vaches et tortues qui sortent des égouts…
• …et de temps en temps quatre garçons aux cheveux longs en file indienne sur un passage piéton, Saint-Nicolas sur son âne, le Manneken-Pis sur un rond-point, ou un kangourou sur la route de Wavre.

Quatre niveaux, de Facile (un peu de tolérance, des avertissements) à Extrême (pas de freinage automatique). 82 missions dans des villes inventées aux noms bien belges.

Se joue dans le navigateur sur PC et sur téléphone, et s'installe comme une appli (elle fonctionne alors hors ligne).

On phones, "📱 Tilt to drive" (title screen or mission card): tip the phone away to accelerate, towards you to brake, turn it like a wheel to pick the way. / Sur téléphone, « 📱 Conduite par inclinaison » : penchez vers l'avant pour accélérer, vers vous pour freiner, tournez comme un volant pour choisir la direction.
